Monday Motivation

It's Monday!!!! How many of you grumbled this morning when you woke up and realized the weekend was over and it's time to get the work-week started?  Did you need an extra few minutes to snooze? Did you need an extra shot of expresso to get going? You know that we have the mental power to change how we feel about a day, a situation or a person.  Words and thoughts have power--positive or negative.  For some reason I woke up with this song in my head "rise and shine and give God the glory, glory, rise and shine and give God the glory, glory..." My mother used to sing that to get me out of the bed in the morning.  You can imagine my reaction back then, but now it all makes sense.  Wake up with a song on your heart and get the day going!  What song will you sing?  Come on, Rise and Shine---Let's conquer the MonDAY!!!

  1. Marcia, thank you so much for the water bottle! I was just looking at getting one the other day! Thank you and everyone else for the inspiration and kind words. It is always easier when you have a support system! I have began to eat more fruit and vegetables although I had a minor setback with the bread it was wheat bread with turkey, lettuce and tomatoes! I've come to a conclusion to work an extra 15 minutes for my backsliding! Good luck to you all! Stay focused...can't wait to hear some of the updates... -Syreeta

  2. I am grateful for the encouragement and support from my new virtual friends. I have committed and implemented the following changes: fruits and veggies, limited carbs, limited to no fried foods, no sodas and no bread. My “needs to include and improve”: exercising/moving my body, and more water. I have to admit that I’m not sure what “live food” is and I don’t like how it sounds. I assume it means raw or natural, right?
    I look forward to this week, doing better and better, and learning from you all. Have a wonderful week…be good to you. Rada
