Friday conFessions

We have made it a full week and I am excited that you all have joined me. The possibilities for transformation are endless! I am happy to report that I worked out 3 times this week. Sunday was for 15 mins on the treadmill, because Mr. President was worried I would OVERDUE it, to soon, to fast. However, while the President is away, the First Lady got busy on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the Elliptical, Treadmill and 5 pound weights to work on my Michelle Obama arms. I did the required 30 mins, which included the arms.
Here is what I changed this week: I haven't had a Coke, since LAST FRIDAY. I have made healthier lunch choices and increased my fruits and veggies to my daily intake. By the way, I will give $1 to anyone who can tell me what was in the Veggie Burger I ate today--corn, beans...um, not sure what else. I didn't drown with the amount of water I consumed which is a bonus--but I realize I must stop drinking water around 2, if I don't want to pull off of I-95 on my way home! Life on the road to change was good this week.

  1. Ok heres me checkin in. The working out isn't bad. In fact I plan on doing it more than twice a week. I just have to get my body readjusted. But my food goal is to stop eating late and that is harder than i thought it would be. I cheated twice on that aspect. I have to do better at planning my meals early in the day or the day before and that should help. I cant wait until its interactive so that I can see how everyone else is doing and what they are finding difficult. I cant be the only one

  2. Just wanted to give you my update for the lifestyle changes that I made this past week!

When the week started I really did not have a plan as to when I was going to squeeze in my (2) 30 minutes sessions of exercise this week but when Tuesday came around I thought I had better get moving because Friday would be here before I knew it and I had to have exercised twice. When I got home I changed clothes and went right to it. I exercised on the Wii Fit for 35 minutes. The time went quickly and when I was finished it felt great to have moved my body. The Wii Fit was also a lot of fun it did not feel like I was exercising, however, my body told a different story the next day.

When I went home on Wednesday I had every intention of taking the evening off but decided I wanted to try some other exercises so I put my workout clothes on and went to work. The fun thing about the Will Fit is that the more time that you spend on the game, the more points your rack up, the more new exercises get unlocked. I earned a free step workout that goes for 10 mins and allows the game controller to keep talking to you while you watch your favorite television show. I put the TV on Dr. Oz and stepped away. By the time all was said and done I had worked out for 38 minutes.

Thursday night I went home on a mission to work on getting some of my soreness to go away and cranked the Wii Fit up again. I got really excited when I unlocked the boxing on the step. It was a great workout!

I surprised even myself that I had moved my body 3 times this week and I may even go home this weekend and do it again. The benefit to all of this movement has been that I have been sleeping like a rock. I have not slept this well in a while.

As far as my food choices. I eliminated all carbonated beverages, and made a point to eat more live foods. I even cut way back on my sugar intake.

As far as struggles for me.... I would say drinking all of the water has been a challenge. I feel like I should set up house in the bathroom.

  3. I have been working out usung the WII fit also. I agree that it really is a fun way to work out. Your 30 minutes is up before you know it. I was shocked at how much I accomplished. I did the same step class where you watch tv and listen to the remote. I set mine for thirty minutes and it told me my goal was 2400 steps. I thought there was no way that I could make that. At the end of my 30 minutes I had done 2684 steps. I was really proud of my accomplishments. Did you try the hula hoop? That hurt!! Anyways, I would suggest the WII fit to anyone who wants to have fun working out!
